The IRISNotes 1.0 is a digital pen, which you can use to dot down your notes and drawings, and the handwritten text will be quickly converted into editable, typed text, which you can save to your computer or Mac. Unlike most of the other digital pens, the IRISNotes 1.0 works on any paper, uses normal ink, and can function as an ordinary computer mouse as well. In order for your notes to be captured accurately, all you have to do is place the receiver on the corner of your paper and the rest is done automatically by the software suite, which includes Easy Note Taker manager and MyScript Notes Lite. The pen works in online and offline mode and has memory, which is capable of holding up to 100 A4 pages of notes, and recognizes 22 languages, including US English, Canadian English, and UK English.

The receiver is powered by a Rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery with 16 hours of battery life and the pen is powered by SR41 Batteries, which ensure 80 hours of continuous operation. Note - the handwriting recognition function does not work with Mac OS X.
